Functional Medicine & Nutrition

Functional medicine systematically identifies and addresses the underlying processes and dysfunctions that are causing imbalance and illness in each individual. By looking at the whole person and understanding a patient’s genetic, nutritional, emotional, environmental, and lifestyle influences, functional medicine doctors create personalized interventions that restore balance, health, and well-being.

Chiropractic

The primary goal of chiropractic care is to restore joint mobility, alignment, and nerve function which is accomplished through precise methods called adjustments.  Chiropractic adjustments are safe and effective for pain relief, and relaxation of the nervous system and muscles, allowing people to heal naturally and more easily adapt to stress and life changes.

Subluxation is the medical term for when a bone becomes stuck and misaligned, causing stiffness and irritation to the joint and surrounding tissues. This can occur in the spine or in the extremities, such as the wrist or jaw.  Misaligned and restricted vertebrae create inflammation which can irritate the nerves. Chiropractic adjustments correct subluxations.

Active Release Techniques

ART is a hands-on diagnostic process and manual treatment to break up soft tissue adhesions, restore flexibility and relieve pain.

ART treatment works by releasing muscles, ligaments, tendons, and fascia that no longer function properly due to knots that have developed from overuse or injury. ART is designed to quickly reduce pain and restore function so people can spend less time in doctors' offices and more time enjoying their lives.

Graston Technique

Graston Technique is an advanced form of soft-tissue treatment which uses specialized instruments to release adhesions, such as knots and scar tissue. It also reduces trigger points, pain, and inflammation, allowing deep and lasting healing. Clinical research shows that Graston Technique quickens recovery from sprains and strains, chronic muscle pain, repetitive injuries and other soft tissue conditions like tendonitis. It is gentle, non-invasive and drug-free, improves mobility and flexibility, and is trusted by athletes and clinicians all over the world.
