Questions to Determine if You Should Consider a Detoxification Cleanse:
Do you often feel sluggish, fatigued, or experience low energy, despite regular exercise and a balanced diet?
Is it hard to concentrate and focus on daily tasks for long periods of time?
Do you regularly experience digestive problems and/or skin irritations?
Do you find it difficult to lose weight, or are gaining weight for no apparent reason?
Have you been told you have high liver enzymes or fatty liver disease?
Do you suffer from chronic pain or illness?
Are you super sensitive to smells, foods, etc.?
Do you eat mostly conventionally grown foods rather than non-GMO or organic foods?
Do you drink water that is mostly from plastic bottles or the tap?
Do you often eat fast food, microwave popcorn and/or other processed foods?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, speak with Dr. Sannelli, as these are indications that your body is on toxic overload. An autumn detox can enliven your energy, refresh your looks, cleanse your liver, boost your immune system, improve your mood and restore wellbeing.
What is Detoxing?
Detoxing refers to the method of purifying your blood by neutralizing and eliminating harmful toxins via the liver, kidneys, skin, lungs and gastrointestinal system. This process can rejuvenate your skin, enhance your digestion, boost your immune system and improve your physical and mental well being, among other benefits.
What are Toxins?
Toxins are chemicals that come from either live organisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites or fungi, or from environmental sources, such as heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, etc. Examples are glyphosate from herbicides, cadmium from cigarette smoke, microplastics from water bottles, PFAS [perfluorinates] from fast food and microwave popcorn, mercury from Mako (shark), tuna, swordfish, tilefish, and some flu vaccines. Why Do We Need to Detox?
Many of the toxins abundant in the environment today can enter our bodies through the air, water, or food. These toxins may include certain pesticides, herbicides, medications, and industrial chemicals. Environmental and dietary toxins, hormones, and byproducts of normal metabolism can accumulate in body tissues, fat cells, and organs. These compounds need to be properly processed and eliminated; if not, they can enter the bloodstream causing poor health and impaired function. While the body has an innate ability to process toxins, today’s polluted environment may overburden our natural detoxification processes, negatively impacting health, reducing vitality, and eventually may contribute to weight gain.
Why is Detoxification so Lifechanging?
Detoxification allows the enzymes and cellular processes to work properly. This affects how we think, heal, breathe, sleep, and function overall. It is very important to do your first detoxification under the guidance of a professional for it to be especially safe and effective. A detox program with Dr. Sannelli utilizes natural, cleansing foods, and botanicals and nutrients to support the detoxification pathways of the body. Also included are lifestyle methods for increasing lymphatic flow and the elimination of toxic debris.
